Well i am a beginner for DSLR,i love photography very much.
I need some Professional ’s advise for both of these cameras.Both of these camera make not much different, is just that the matter of mega pixels they are different of.I have read plenty of review but i still can’t figure out which camera to chose?
I hope you guys can give me some tips on DSLR. Thank you!!
i feel both also same lor…. but u better choose camera tat suit ur need lor…..
a good camera is no good if the user doesn’t know the functions. but a photographer can capture the essence of photograhphy using a simple camera.

Basicly Nikon D40 and D40X there are almost the same , its just an improvement, and megapixels aint that important unless you wanna do print out size which is huge. Depending on ur Budget. Just for your info Nikon D40 & D40X theres no AF motor Drive on the body itself , so only depends on the lens AF motor, unlike the better bodies do have AF motor drive shaft that connects to the AF motor drive on the lens. also one more thing , wether good or no good , its also depends on the person behind the camera,
if youre mastered in basic in photography like Shutter speed , Aperture, ISO , Exposure, Composition , once you understand these stuffs, it be very easy for you to play with as you dont need to learn through a long run . unless if ur not sure seek help from enthuasists.
Well, from what i think or my own opinion, buying the D40 or the D40x is A WASTE OF TIME. Yea, a waste of time and also money. Nothing much to learn from it, very limited. To me, might as well save a little bit more and go for the D80 at least. You get to learn more from what the D40 has got to offer. And the D80 is good. I have another option. If ur on a budged, then get the Canon 400D la.Cheap only…cheaper than Nikon D80. Can get the 400D for only RM2770 with 2 lens, 18-55mm and 50mm f1.8 duh! LOL. Could be even cheaper now.
