Turkey’s Trip – Canakkale 3
Good Morning from Canakkale.
We have open style buffet for breakfast.
I look more refreshing and getting ready to follow the tour of the day.
Cereal for breakfast.I love cereal very much.
The typical turkish vegetables and few slices of ham.
View outside of my hotel.
cam whore along the way on the coach.
We were going to the archaeological Ancient city of Troy where Greek and Trojan horse fought the Trojon War for the honor of the beautiful helen, also known as the face that launched a thousand ships. We will have the chance to view its lengendary city walls, buildings and replica of legendary Trojan horse
If you guys stil can recall the movie – Troy .It is exactly the same Troy that we visited.
This was some of the rocks along the way.
This is the huge Trojan Horse Statue.
Close view of me with the Trojan Horse.we can climb up of the Trojan Horse for photo taking as you can see from the photo of the four tiny windows.
Spotted a lazy dog on the floor.
After that, We stopped by to have our lunch.
Many different country’s tour group also having their lunch here.
I saw lots of japanese were there too.
Again is open-styled buffet again, quite sickening of the food there. The food here was not so good.
This is the apple tea which is quite popular in Turkey their local drinks. The taste is exactly like the cold apple juice that we usually drink but it just served as a hot apple tea.
I don’t really like it anyway, find that it tasted weird.
Turkish people love to served potatoes in their meal too.
Turkey desserts is the worst of all.You know why? It is supper sweet is not average sweet it is super sweet!!
After that, we continued our tour to Asklepion.
My tour guide told me that this were the local turkish people were having their memorial ceremony of their family members.
Yesh!!I’ve reached at Asklepion.
Asklepion , a famed ancient medical center built in honor of Asklepios, the god of healing. It access via the Sacred Way and leads to the courtyard and monumental gate.See the altar, the Emperor’s room, domed Temple of Asklepios, an underground tunnel, pools and fountain, library and Roman Theatre.
So, this is the entrance of the medical center that we will walk in to explore what they have inside.
Finally, I am inside
It is because it has already maybe more than 1000 years history, so the rocks due to the climate, they were some cracked.
This is the tunnel that I’ve mentioned just now.
After that, we travelled to Ephesus
Ephesus – one of the world’s most outstanding archaelogical sites and the once a most important commercial center of the western Anatolia.Marvel at the arcadia way, the splendid facade of the Library of Celsius and the conspicuous Amphitheatre which is still utilizes for concert.
It is all kind of rocks!!
Look at the broken St Mary if I am not mistaken. As far as i know this the Inspiration of the Nike Sign. The designer from italy travelled all the way to here and this gave him a strong inspiration of the creation NIKE.
Look at this interesting craft on the big stone.
What you have observed?
-A footprint
- A love(Heart Shape)
- and a square shape.
Let me explain to you. This three elements shows to those guy who need love, please walk towards to the other end which is a prostitution center. The box refer to you may pay via credit card if you wish to. Epic right?
This is the Ephesus Library of Celsus.
The colour of the sky was a little dull cause it was quite late when we reached there.
The theater of Ephesus.
Many Pop stars like Elton John came here to held his concert last few years which mean this theater is still being used until now.
After the government of Turkey don’t allowed any concert to be held at the theater here, it is because the strong bass of sound of the concert may damage the rocks and they decide to preserve them.
Dinner time after a tiring day.
This was our hotel view.
The surrounding actually looked similar to the Monte Carlo in France.
Dad ordered turkish wine.It was our first wine ever in Turkey.
Our family love wine very much, especially dad.
Unfortunately the local turkish wine did not taste good.It tasted a bit bitter and quite sour.
Grilled Fish.
